TuPac Amaru is Inca for "shining serpent." Shakur is Arabic for "thankful to God". While still a boy, 2 Pac and his family sometimes lived in shelters. 2 Pac wrote his first rap at 15. At 15, 2Pac also attended Baltimore School for the Arts where he studied ballet and acting. 2 Pac didn't have a criminal record before he became a rap star.
In 1992, Vice President Dan Quayle said 2Pac's 2Pacalypse Now "has no place in our society." Janet Jackson demanded 2 Pac take an HIV test before she would do any kissing scenes for the film Poetic Justice. While he was in jail, 2Pac's 1995 album, Me Against the World, debuted at No. 1. It went double platinum in 7 months. 2Pac's Death Row debut album, All Eyez on Me, was rap's first double CD.

2 Pac A rapper who is still selling millions of records even though he is supposedly dead. Many people still believe the man is alive living in some other country and may some day come back. There are many clues and reasons behind why people think this may happen. For those people who think he was shot, 2 Pac's killer is unkown. Some think that Suge Knight killed him (There are also many clues leading towards that). Whatever really happened, 2 Pac is arguably the best rapper of all time, and we all miss him.
